I did not drop off the face of the planet! Do you ever hit a spot where you're being sucked into a depression but you're fighting it with everything you have? That's where I've been for over a month. Earl has been so down and stressed over everything that it has taken everything I have just to get out of bed each morning. I hate it when I go through periods like that. Fortunately, they are not very often (for me, not DH!)
I'm feeling better now and trying to get a handle on this house. It's a wreck! We've finally be getting our stuff from Atlanta (had to have a friend go get it from the mover and ship everything - we're still waiting on some stuff) so I have boxes all over the place. I'm trying to get them OUT today! ;) I'm behind on laundry, dishes - everything.
Our permits were approved a week ago and construction is supposed to move forward next week sometime. We're looking at a late September to early October opening date. I'm trusting the Lord to provide in the meantime.
We're being sued by that realtor that placed the lien on our house/inn in Georgia. I'm not going to go into it because it makes me really really REALLY angry, but I'm going to trust the Lord to take care of that, too.
I'm afraid Alyssa has hit the dreaded terrible twos. If she doesn't get what she wants, exactly when she wants it - watch out world. I'm not exactly sure how to deal with the tantrums. Sometimes I ignore her. Sometimes she gets a swat. If she has a legitimate issue, then that is addressed, but most of the time she doesn't!
We went over to a playgroup mommy's house on Wednesday and met at the park Thursday. It was fun. This is the first week we've actually gotten together - people have been out of town or sick. I'm looking forward to meeting people.
Curves is going fairly well. I know it is good for me just to be exercising. I didn't see any loss on the scale in the first month, but I think that is because I'm eating so much more for some reason. I'm looking into cutting out refined sugars and flour and seeing if that helps. I can only imagine it will. Plus it'll help me avoid hypoglycemia episodes when I decide to get PG again.
The biggest news this month is that I'm becoming a consultant for the Pampered Chef. I've always loved their products and am looking forward to starting a business with them! I have my first kitchen show August 3. I'm not super nervous because I've been to a couple of parties, hosted one - and goodness, I'm an innkeeper! LOL I'm used to cooking in front of people!
That's all for now, I'm being summoned!
