It seems like it has been so long since I posted an update, but it's only been a month.
We've had a few more guests and everyone seems to love the accommodations. We're trying really hard to market and get our name out there. It's certainly different starting from scratch - when we bought The Village Inn, it was already three years old.
The weather has been beautiful and Alyssa has really enjoyed going outside. She's started singing, too! "The Eensy Weensy Spider" and "Jesus Loves Me" are her favorites. She's always saying "Jesus Loves Alyssa" :) She talks non-stop and puts together full sentences. It's amazing to see how her language has literally exploded in the past few months.
I just joined a local Woman's Club, but they won't resume meetings until the fall. It's the same national club that I was a part of in Georgia, so I already know how a lot of it works. Playgroup remains the same. I haven't found a spot to fit in yet and I haven't made any friends - but I'm hopeful. I can't remain a friendless hermit forever, right?? LOL
I seem to spend each day being torn between business and home. I jump from dishes to website design to laundry to working on our brochure. It's hard to prioritize every day and I've never had this problem before.
Anyway, duty calls...
Christy
