And the potty training saga continues. Haa! Actually Noah is doing ok. He still is trying to get the whole concept of peeing AND pooing in the potty. He still thinks it is this grand chair to carry around the house and make it play music. But I think we have got the potty situated in the bathroom where it belongs, and there to stay. How is he doing with training? Well everytime we use the bathroom he will, most of the time, come running in grabbing at his diaper like he needs to go REALLY bad. We will sit him on the potty but usually he just sits there. But I think of it as at least he is wanting to sit on it instead of having a fear of the chair. It's a start. Though last week he gave me a little surprise. Grandma was here and had given him a granola bar, of course as I am trying to rush around to get ready for school. Anyway I smell something REAL stinky. I choked it up to someone must have pooed in the bathroom and didn't use the air freshener. The hall light being off I seemed to notice what I thought was Noah's granola bar on the hall floor. "Hummm. Clean that in a second, hands are full right now" "still smelling the stinky!!!" OH WAIT! That wasn't granola it was POOP! Noah had taken the diaper off and pooed on my floor! YUCK!!! Oh the joys of raising a toddler! And right outside the bathroom door he did his deed. Thank God that hasn't happened again. Talk about gross. I laugh about it now but boy it was gross at the time!
Noah is starting to talk more. He loves talking on the phone. Last night he kept wanting to talk to Grandma. Of course you would here a "HI!" out of him and then gabbering followed by a lub U! Saying love you. He speaks Austin's name very well, especially when Austin is making Noah mad. Hehe! Go is his favorite. He says cereal, and yeah right after he gets the cereal. He is a character! The other day we were taking a nap and I thought he was asleep when he puts his little arm around me then pats my face about 4 times while saying "Maama Mom mamaaa." It melted my heart. Just the little things they do can be so touching. A friend asked Noah yesterday if he was a good boy? a sweet boy? then after he answers yes to all she tested him and asked if he was a pretty boy? He looked at her and shook his head no. Haa!
This weekend we plan on going to the zoo. I haven't been there since Austin was little. So I think it is time to head back for a visit, see if there is anything new. Then we are off to the go cart tracks so dad and Austin can ride.
My fears of Noah's hearing are starting to deminish some. I know he can hear us, I am wondering if he just decides he don't want to talk cause Austin talks for him alot.
