I knew when I started writing this diary that at some point in time I would end up making some people upset about something I had written. I will not apologize for the things I have written because this is a diary about what I feel, think, do in regards to raising my daughter. True, this diary is for the public, but just because it is, I'm not going to censor my feelings or thoughts. I hope that my entries don't come across as "bashing" anyone. That is not my intention or purpose. Having said that...onto the good stuff...Alexandria's vocabulary is growing in leaps and bounds. I'm amazed every day by the new things that she says and learns. Her favorite phrases are "My baba!" "My mama!" "My Elmo!" or just plain "Mine!" Gee, do you think we've hit toddlerhood yet?
Alexandria and I have accomplished a "girly" milestone. More often than not, I can get barrettes or ponytails in her hair. FINALLY! It's so cute to see that fountain of hair on the top of her head. However, on a practical note, it does keep her mop of hair out of her face and eyes. When she sees me putting my hair up, Alli finds her stash of hair thingys and brings them to me to put in her hair.
My mom was up this past weekend to visit and spoil her granddaughter. It was nice to have someone else around for little stuff like making sure Alli didn't try to flush Laa-Laa down the toilet while I was showering, or take Gish the goldfish out of his bowl to play when I was distracted with something else. I've been exhausted lately, so every time Alli went down for a nap, I was right there with her. We had a great weekend and Alli got even more Elmo books/clothes/toys. You know, I can go Happy Tappin' with Elmo now...La, la, la, la....Elmo song...la..la..la..la
Happy days to everyone,
Chandra ~~+~~Alexandria
