Christa's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 19, 2003

Still sleep deprived. But it is ok, cause there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Noah is still so miserable. I wish there was something I could do to make the pain go away.

THE ENT
~~~~~~~~
Yesterday I was prepared to battle with Dr. W (the ENT) if he told me Noah didn't need tubes. Now to refresh: Noah has an ear infection in the right ear. Well we went to the ENT yesterday, last time we went there he was rude acting. This time it was a different story. He was VERY nice! Which set me at ease. He asked how we were. My answer: "well to sum it up I have been awake with Noah since 2:30 this morning doc." Well we sat in "the chair" and he looked in Noah's left ear then the right. All he said while examining it was, and I quote: "acute ear infection left ear, acute ear infection right ear. Noah will need tubes in both ears as soon as possible." OH THANK YOU DR. W! So we scheduled surgery for Monday at 6 am. It was to earliest he could get him in. So tomorrow we go to the ped. and get a different med and she is even going to give Noah a shot of medication to get him boost. He is really miserable. The specialist said that the cough Noah has won't go away till after the operation. UGH! That cough is making him hoarse and also causing him to vomit. So I will have to deal with that till Monday morning. They showed me the tubes that goes in. WOW! Those things are SO tiny! They went over the procedure, and things that we have to happen afterwards, and percaustions to take. I was told I can sit with him during the operation. So that is what I am going to do.
