Chandra's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
November 1, 2000
Alexandria has the concept of Halloween: Get dressed in a costume, run around in a dark neighborhood with parents chasing after you, ring the doorbells of strange houses and receive candy for speaking the magic words "trick or treat!" How cool that must be in the mind of a 2 year old!! She was excited to wear her "Blue" costume, and even said the magic words and "tanks!" after getting the loot. After a few houses, she understood the importance of a house WITH it's porch light on and was running to the next one yelling, "More houses! More houses!" Her dad came down to go trick-or-treating with us, and we'd planned to only go to a few houses, but Alli wouldn't have it!
After we got home, she dumped out her bucket and wallowed in her candy. I let her have a few pieces since she actually ate some dinner before the adventure of Halloween. She was in sugar heaven (so is Momma after she is in bed!).The potty fairy is a good thing! Alli has been fantastic about going when she has to go, and the accidents have been minimal to non-existent! I don't have to remind her all the time now. She'll stop whatever she's doing, turn to me and say,"Alli right back" and scampers off to the potty. And when I do ask her if she needs to go, she'll say," Ohhhhh, no tanks Momma." It cracks me up! And I'm almost delirious from the freedom from diapers! Whoo-hoo!
Hope everyone is happy and healthy,
Chandra and Alexandria
