Chandra's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 10, 2000

Alexandria totally and completely grossed me out last night. The phone rang right when I was cooking dinner (tacos!) and Alli was playing with the refrigerator magnets. All of my ingredients were high on the counter, but obviously not high enough. As I was taking down some information and not watching Alli with BOTH eyes, she managed to pull some of the dinner makings onto the floor. I caught this and picked everything up while still on the phone. I somehow missed the sour cream though. I continued chatting and cooking and could see Alli out of the corner of my eye quietly "playing." Once I hung up the phone and actually LOOKED at her, I gagged. She had found the small container of sour cream and a spoon on the counter. Spoonful after spoonful was happily being stuffed into her mouth. She was loving it! I like sour cream as a garnish, as an extra kick, whatever, but not eaten like ice cream! Alli ended eating about 1/2 of the container. Disgusting! She ran off into the living room, screaming/laughing like a banshee, trailing sour cream when she realized she was caught. After I cleaned up the mess, we ate our tacos minus sour cream.

We've had our share of gross moments and the poop fairy has visited our house on more than one occasion. I've dealt with poop footprints, poop surprises on the carpet, hands in poop, poop explosions, poop art and I can handle it. Eating the sour cream as if it was some culinary delight, I could not handle. I'm still gagging just thinking about it!

Hope everyone is enjoying spring!
