Chandra's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
January 13, 2000
I'm feeling kinda bummed right now. Alexandria's dad has found a place to live in Portland and is moving in a matter of weeks. This means that Alexandria will be spending one night every other weekend with him. She's never been away from me overnight, and since we do the family bed thing.... >From what I understand, she won't be sharing a bed with him, but will have a "bed" in the same room.I'm wondering how she is going to adjust to spending the night with him ... and how I'm going to adjust! I'll admit that I've put her in her crib on a small number of occasions and went to bed alone. But it never lasted long because I'd be uncomfortable having her so far away and she would wake up soon after. Secretly, I would be glad that she did wake up and I'd scramble into her room. Once I brought her back into bed, we would both fall asleep quickly, comforted by each other's presence.
This is going to be so hard ... not looking forward to it at all. :-(
