We're back! We both had a great time in the SUN and relaxing. Alexandria got yet another Santa visit at my parents' house. My OWN house now looks like Toys 'R' Us puked all over. It's decorating by Alexandria ... toys in every room, nook and cranny! I actually went out two nights while I was in CA. I would put Alex to bed and then quickly get ready to leave. One night, she had her "mommy's-trying-to-leave-me" antenna out. She screamed, fussed, whined and refused to go to bed. I even put her in the carseat for a little car ride in hopes of putting her down (I was desperate at this point). Every time I looked in the backseat, her eyes were big and bright, and I swear she even had a smirk on her face. I gave up at that point and cancelled my plans. The little chickadee didn't go to bed until 11:00 p.m.!! Her bedtime is 7-7:30! She was up at the crack of dawn the next morning. How do kids do that? I was wiped out!Alexandria loved the horses and kitties. She kept running to the sliding glass doors pointing and saying "Yeow? Yeow? Yeow?" Very cute. She got a kick out of feeding and petting the horses. She imitates them quite well. :-)
I loved having six days with my little girl. It spoiled us both. Since I've gone back to work (she was 6 weeks), there's only been one time where we've had that amount of time together. She cried hysterically when I dropped her off at daycare. To make it worse, she wasn't just crying, she was crying "Mama, Mama, Mama". I quickly learned how many times my heart could break in a second. It was awful. That was one of the worst times leaving her at daycare. I can't wait to get my hands on her again after work! I miss her so much!
Happy New Year and cuddle your little ones!
