Candace W.'s Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |

Hello faithful readers! I guess it is time for another fun filled entry with an update about the adventures of Alexandria!
What she’s doing this week:
Okay, I admit, I taught her this one, but I didn’t expect so apt a pupil! I would whenever she would run by me, which occurs rather frequently, take my hand it make it “get” her, which is always accompanied by this funny sucking noise. She has picked that right up, and if I tell her to “get Daddy” she will throw her arm out towards him, wiggle her fingers, and make the noise. It is so cute, and (of course!) we encourage her to do it every chance we get.
She is also trying to talk more, and one of the things I’ve managed to decipher is her saying “potty” and yanking at her pull-ups. She’s been doing well at daycare, she uses the little potty there more than once a day (usually three times). For a while I was getting tired of asking her if she needed to go potty, but now I think she’s catching on. She now tells me if she wants to go (sometimes she goes, sometimes not!) and then I have to empty the little pot before she grabs it and spills it all over the floor, and she *is* quick as a rattlesnake, ha!
Photos:
I have reached the brilliant conclusion that my pictures aren’t going to get posted, so at the end of this, I will provide a link to where you can view a few pictures of Alexandria and a few of our new house if you have some time to kill and a fast connection. Let me know what you think of them!
What Al and I are doing this week:
I finished my final class (got a C, which I say stands for Candace) after flunking two exams. I just didn’t want to study. I passed, and at this point, that was all I cared about. Al is still working hard, and we’re busy trying to get things squared away for the big move in less than 7 days. We’re going to be leaving the house on Sunday, and I hope everything goes smoothly. I know my job will be (comparatively) easy: keep an eye on Alexandria and keep her out of the way of moving furniture.
Final thoughts:
Alexandria will be having a little good-bye party at daycare this week. I think she has come a long way (and so have I!!!) in terms of being happy there, and well adjusted. They do a lot of neat things, artwork and such, playing with clay, making shirts, painting, macaroni necklaces, etc. I hope Al can do some of those things with her, but I know how hard it is to be able to do that sort of thing, and to want to.
I probably will not post an entry next week, seeing that we will be moving and all, so I will write another entry sometime in early August!
