Hello! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was a little different, but it was still wonderful because it was spent with family. I got off of work at 7AM, and came home and helped my mom a little bit. Makayla got up and was helping LOTS! ;-) We ended up having a Thanksgiving "brunch" at 10:30AM. My parents, grandma and grandparents were all together, and of course - Makayla. She was really enjoying herself. Then, her Aunt Lisa came and picked her up at 12:30, for their side of the family. Her Daddy is in Tennessee, but she still spent the rest of the day with his family. She had a ball from what I heard. It's pretty sad not being able to spend the whole day with her, and I'm sure something to that effect will happen on Christmas too. I guess the good comes with some bad, huh? :-(
My mom, a friend of mine, and I all were some of the crazies out shopping yesterday... and WE HAD A BALL. It's a tradition that every year we go the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas. I got so many great things... I got a scrapbook and some decorations for it because I REALLY want to do one for Makayla. I want her to be able to look back on all the great years. I also got a LOT of toys! Christmas and Makayla's birthday are 2 days apart, so I had to work overtime! I think she's going to be a happy little girl come Christmas morning. She already has a BALL opening presents. My mom just had a birthday and Makayla helped her open the presents. (Really, she opened everything but the cards!)
I start my new job at 8AM on Wednesday morning, and I am SO nervous! I have all the normal fears and anticipations that come along with starting a new job. I just thank God everyday that He allowed me to get the job - DAY SHIFT! I still can't get over it!
Well, I'm going to go help my mom get the house straight and PUT UP CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS! (I'm a little excited.) I love the holidays! I hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving! :-) Until next time....
