Becky's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 16, 2002

Hey everyone! Well, Makayla got back from her Daddy's house on Sunday, and has finally gotten back on her schedule. Routine is SO important, and they don't seem to realize that. She is SUCH a little ball of fire! Does everyone else's toddler do everything you tell them not to? Makayla will look right at me, and do JUST the opposite I tell her to! I think this is the terrible two's right? Anyways...

I am currently looking for another job. Right now, I am on midnight shift, and am desperately looking for a day shift job. This would allow me to spend much more time with Makayla. Lucky for me, I have two wonderful parents that help me out a TON. Makayla's crib is in their bedroom and they are there while I work. I sleep while she is at the sitter's, and get her in the afternoon. It's working out, but I would still like to have a normal life with my baby girl!

Fall is here, and we have gotten some new clothes, but 24 months/2T is just a TAD too big, so they're swallowing her. :-) She will be 2 on December 27th, and I can't wait. I'm going to plan a little party and let her devour her cake. I know that's something you're supposed to do on the FIRST birthday, but she really wasn't into the cake... she was more into the fire on the candle! I just couldn't handle that. I got too scared. She just could not understand for the life of her why in the world I wouldn't let her play with the fire!

She is talking like crazy... my new favorite is "yes me." This is her "Yes Ma'am." Oh, and she loves Big Burr (Big Bird) and Elbow (Elmo.) She brings so much joy to my life... How else could I get away with watching Big Burr on TV and not getting made fun of?! Well, I must go, but until next time... Hugs to all!!!

Love,
Becky and Makayla (a.k.a. Tinky Bug, by my dad and the ENTIRE church family because of his influence!)
