Hello everyone! Well, I have good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?! I'll do the bad news first since it's about the good news! (Yeah, that made sense!) As we all know, all good things must come to an end. Like my marriage that was being rebuilt so wonderfully. Yep, that's right, the divorce is going through. I know how certain people feel about divorce, but sometimes your happieness and your daughters happieness is more important. (Atleast to me, it is.) Makayla would be so much happier seeing both of us apart and happy than the two of us together and miserable! It just doesn't make sense to drag it out when we're better apart. SO, it was last week when all of this happened.... I was upset for a while and so was he, but now we talk on the phone and we're totally comfortable. We both agree that we're just not compatible as a couple, but we're each other's best friends. Sometimes it's easier to be parents that way. Regardless of how WE feel about it, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law have to have their 15 cents to put it. (It's so much they can't even just put in 2 cents.) ARRRGGGHHH! I get SO angry sometimes, I have to put myself in check. I actually found out my mother-in-law was totally bashing me in front of Makayla. Yes, I have a HUGE problem w/ her. I just wish they would all butt out and let Russell and I do our thing. We agreed to not listen to either of the two of them, and do what we think is right for Makayla and for ourselves. And that's what we're doing. So, to close this story, the bad news is that we're not together anymore, and the good news is that we're both okay with that, and I feel things are better this way. I have a content feeling because I know I gave the relationship 100%. If it's better this way, then atleast I know I tried. I can sign the papers with a clear conscience. =)
Makayla is growing up SOOO fast. Sentences are coming out like crazy. I'm loving every minute of it. We changed rooms in my parents house and Makayla calls my room "US room!" We play and read books in there every night. TV and movies used to be her big thing, and now she's really into reading. (I'm not complaining - I love that she's into books!!) I say "Sweetie, pick out a book you want to read before bed." She'll say "1 2 3 4 5 6 BOOKS!?" LOL Its so fun. So, we end up reading atleast 6 books before bed!
My Dad just bought Makayla a new swingset. It was on sale at KMart and its great. He stayed up until midnight the other night putting it together. She LOVES it. "MINES WING SET!" =) She's at her Daddy's house until tomorrow afternoon, but I talked to her and the second we get home, we're playing. She can't wait - and neither can I!!!!! =) Well everyone, I'm at work so I guess I better get back to working! I hope everyone has a great weekend. Hug your babies... they won't be babies for long!
Love,
Becky & Makayla
