Becky's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 17, 2003

It's almost Friday!!!!! I'm so excited. This week has been hectic with a CAPITAL H!!! Headaches all the time, attitudes from everyone, busy at work, busy at home... WHEN WILL IT END?!?!?!?!?!

Ok, I'm done complaining now ;) I think....

Onto Makayla.... she is growing up SO fast! AND getting an attitude all the time very fast!!!!! Well, we woke up this morning, I had the TV on Teletubbies, and my mom walked by... Makayla said "Huh" and kicked toward her. Hmmmm, ok, good morning sunshine to you to! Well, then we went to sit on the potty. "NOOOOOO MAMAAAAA! DONNNEEEEE! AHHHH AHHHH AHHHH AHHHH" You get the point. I said, "Ok Makayla, you know the rules - we try to peepee first thing in the morning, if you don't want to try, you can sit in time out." So, we get dressed. Into the time out chair she goes... "AHHHHHH NOOO MAMA AHHHH AHHHH AHHHHHHHH!" (all the while trying to get out of the chair.) Keep in mind, the most she sits in time out is 3 minutes. I have a timer that I set and everything! FINALLY the 3 minutes is over and I pick her up and she immediately stops crying, hugs me and keeps saying "mama mama mama." It was the saddest thing, but if I let her boss me around, she'll think she's in charge?! Does anyone think I was wrong here? Well, it was time for me to go to work so my mom took over and I walked outside after a goodbye kiss and started to cry. I sometimes feel like I have totally failed at being a mother. Nothing I do is right! Does anyone else feel like this?! I was totally lost in thought of how I am the worst mother. Maybe it's just terrible two's or maybe it really is me?! :( Well, it's 4:30 and I have to get out of here. I hope everyone is having a better week than I.

Until next time...
Becky and Makayla
