Well well well.... where do I start?!? First, let me update you on me and DH - OMG THAT'S THE FIRST TIME I'VE CALLED HIM DH! AND HE ACTUALLY IS A DH!!!!! It's been 8 days (no, I'm not counting) since we agreed to "try again" and it's been awesome. He has been nothing but incredible. We talk openly, we cuddle, we play with Makayla... it's like we're a FAMILY again and I love it. (Apart from the fact that he still lives at home and Makayla and I are with my parents.) Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts about us, so far they're WORKING! We've been giving our relationship to God, and He's been faithful so far. (Like I expected anything else!) I'll continue to keep you updated!
Makayla is the sweetest thing ever... let me update you on something else. My MOOD! It's been TERRIBLE! Yesterday at work, I felt like poop! I had a fever a little after lunch that didn't ease up, and my head was THROBBING! I had to go pick up my perky, loud, playful 2 year old and try to act happy. I know you've all been there - it's VERY difficult! Needless to say, I couldn't fool her. She knew something was wrong, and she played quietly after supper. (She was loud and obnoxious AT supper, but as long as she was quiet after, I was happy.) DH came over at work and helped me. He played with her and let me lay on his lap and he rubbed my neck while reading her a book. He's beginning to be multitalented! WOW! =) Makayla slept all night thankfully. I woke up this morning with a terrible headache once again, and my right eye feels like there's a knife sticking in it. WEIRD. It's not sinuses, it's something else that's driving me insane!!!!! So, needless to say with that going on, my mood wasn't much better! I was snapping at Makayla (I aplogized to her and still feel bad about it, but I'm only human.) I was snapping at my Mom (for absolutely nothing.) And I was dreading every minute closer to the time I would have to leave to go to work. Well I'm blowdrying my hair and I see Makayla walking down the hall, holding a vase with 7 bright yellow flowers ( I think they're dafodils!?) and a big smile on her face. I lit up. For that split second, my headache went away, the knife in my eye disappeared, my mood was great and all I saw was my beautiful angel and those beautiful flowers. She wanted me to take them to work, so here I sit, knife in eye (LOL) and beautiful flowers on my desk. I smile every time I look at them. I love her SO much.... she always makes me feel better. Even after I was snapping at her and was being something not so nice, she still said "Momma Up!" and wanted me to hold her. She loves me unconditionally and vice versa. Sometimes I never want her to grow up b/c I know these times won't happen very often when she's a teenager. I want her to stay my little angel forever! =) WOW that's a long paragraph!
Well I must get back to work now... Yuck! I hope everyone had a great St Patrick's Day and didn't get pinched. =) Have a great week and leave me a note on the message board! I'd love to hear from you!
Oh - and you should all get your kids the movie "Jonah." It's that new Veggietales movie that came out. It's out on DVD now and Makayla loves it. It's cute, perfect for kids and has a great message. (Ok, I'm done being a commercial now!) heehee
Love you guys! ~Becky and Makayla~
