Oh my goodness! Has that awful virus struck anyone else's home?!?!!? Last Monday, Makayla woke up at about midnight throwing up like crazy. At about 2pm the next day, she still hadn't stopped, so being only 22lbs - she dehydrated fast! After quite a few hours at the ER, having an IV in her little tiny two-year-old hand, and clinging to Mommy non-stop, we were finally home again. :( My mom and dad took off the next two days and were able to watch her because I don't have much time built up at my new job. I'm so lucky to have them! Well, Makayla finally stopped puking after the medicine in the IV, but then it was coming out of the other end!!!! WHEW - it's been about a week now, and she's back to her old self. She's still not eating normal, b/c we're scared of the poopies coming back, but we're getting there!
Well, let me tell you... Makayla shares so well. She loves to share - everything - especially germs with Mommy!!!! Yeah, I've been feeling icky for about 48 hours now. Luckily I haven't thrown up, but you know that feeling you get sometimes, where if you just would go ahead and throw up, you'd feel much better!?!?! Hopefully it'll end soon!!!!!!! If anyone else out there has experienced this awful virus that's going around like crazy - I feel for you!!! :(
Ok, now on a happier (and less gross) note... Makayla has almost learned to completely sing Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star. It's the most adorable thing I've ever heard. I'm going to try to video tape her singing it tonight. These are Makayla's lyrics... "Tinkle Tinkle Tar. Up abaah high. Dimon. Tinkle Tar." Did everyone understand that?! :) It's the most adorable thing I've ever seen or heard.
Makayla was so excited to go back to her friends at the sitter's today. She gave "Re-Re" (what she calls her sitter, Sherie) a big hug, and asked if "Lawen" (Lauren) was coming, and immdeiately asked for Shrek. She LOVES Shrek. Anyways, I must go now, but again I'm terrible sorry if anyone else had to deal with the virus! Have a Happy Valentine's Day and God Bless!!!
