Amanda's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 22, 2001

Sydney went on her first long road trip a couple of weeks ago (May 3rd - 5th) and she did very well. My grandmother died and she had to go with my sister, me, and my dad to the funeral, which was a 5 hour car trip away. I was expecting her to be really bad in the car for that long a time but she had fun playing with my sister in the back seat. She also got to meet some of our family that she has never seen and has never seen her, so all in all it was a good trip.

Well Summer is upon us and Tristan is now a part of the daily life of Sydney and me. Tristan’s last day of school was last Wednesday and now we are going to have to get creative and find things to do. Usually Sydney and I can just do our own thing and I get my work done easily around the house, not now. Since Tris is used to keeping busy during the day at school now I am in charge of keeping him occupied as well as keeping him from totally disrupting Sydney’s day. She doesn’t really know what is going on because she usually is alone during the day and now "Bubba" is here to play with. We have some plans, the zoo, the library, the park, things like that. I think Sydney will enjoy this summer, it will let her do more things during the day than normal. It is just starting so we will see how it goes!

Not much else going on but if anyone has any suggestions of things to do with a 2 year old and a 5 year old, please let me know!

Until next time! God Bless!

Amanda (and Sydney)
