Introduction
Hi everyone!Sorry I missed last week! We have been way busy! The kids are doing much better! Afton's ear infection is gone! Yay! Now we begin counting the days to the next one. The longest we have gone so far is three months. I am praying very hard to beat that this time. Ashlyn's ear infection looks better. It had gotten worse and we had to take her to the ER last week. My usually very active baby was very inactive. So we took her in and lo and behold, the second medication she was on for this ear infection (Septra) had not worked and now she had a layer of fluid being held in. So, onto the third antibiotic. We took her in today and the doctor said the ear is on the mend but she wants her on the medication for one more week. We go in for a recheck in three weeks with Ash's doctor.
This past Sunday-Wednesday we took the kids to Disneyland! My dad, stepmom, sister, cousin, DH, the two kids and I all went together. We stayed across the street in a two-room suite. A two-room suite with only one bathroom for the eight of us! It was cozy!
The kids had a great time! Ashlyn went on four rides. She went on Peter Pan, the Carousel, Pirates of the Caribbean and Rodger Rabbits Wild Ride. She really had no clue what was going on but sat through them like a champ! Actually, she slept through Pirates!
Afton went on all of those plus the Haunted Mansion. He was frightened a bit but fascinated at the same time. He rode most of the rides with one hand over one eye while watching everything around him out of the other. It was so cute when the rides ended; he would say, "More! More!" He LOVED Fantasmic. If you ever head over to Disneyland, let me recommend this show. I suggest sitting down two hours before it starts to get good seats but it is well worth the wait! Its a fantastic light show done on the water!
Both kids were great on the airplane! I asked Afton Sunday morning if he wanted to go on the airplane and he said, "No airplane," but of course, this was at 6:00 a.m. and after I had just woken him up. Once he was on the plane he had a great time walking around talking to everyone around him!
Well, that about sums up our adventures from the past two weeks. I hope everyone had a great week and look forward to chatting with you next week!
