TGIF!

Happy Friday everyone!

Today was a great day! We had a Father's Day BBQ at work for all the kids and their parents. Of course DH came to spend the day with his two kiddos. Ashlyn slept through the whole thing! I couldn't even take a picture of her and her dad because she had her face buried in her crib!

Afton had a great time! We all met on our big playground and the fathers and children had an egg toss. I kept telling Afton to throw it at daddy! Of course the egg was dropped on the second throw! Poor Afton just kept looking at the egg on the ground and looking up at daddy. He couldn't understand why his egg was on the ground and what was that yellow and clear stuff all over the shell? After that we had a quick sing along. It was great fun watching my 28-year-old husband sing "I Love You" from Barney. Then we had a huge BBQ. They had hot dots, potato salad, chips, drinks and much more! Afton even ate two hot dogs!

Then came the hard part. Daddy had to go back to work so he took Afton back to his classroom. Of course all the other kids were already asleep and Afton wanted nothing to do with naps. So instead he chose to sit at the table and cry for an hour. I felt so bad! I could hear him all the way on the other side of the school. I finally went in to get him and I put him with his "bobby" (blanket) in his sister's room where, of course, he is off having a good time now.

Well, I hope everyone has an exciting Father's Day weekend!
