Hi All!Life in our household is as busy as usual! Afton is getting so big! Where has the time gone? On Monday he turned 19 months. The other day in the car on the way to work, my DH and I were trying to list all the words he can now speak! Everytime we thought we were done, one of us would come up with another one! I have to tell you of a super cute thing that he does! DH puts him to bed every night. About 1/2 hour before bedtime he gets very cuddly with me on the couch. As soon as Minh stands up, Afton starts patting the couch and very firmly tells his dad to "sit down!" He knows that when dad stands up it means bedtime!
Afton's "sissy" is growing up too fast as well! She turned eight months on Monday. Can you believe she is already eating table foods? I just walked back into her classroom and her teachers told me that she not only has had two jars of food today, but she also insisted on sharing the older babies' food. So she ate beans and hot dogs (cut up very very small, of course)! I am going to call her doctor this week and ask his opinion on table foods. I don't remember Afton starting this early. Ashlyn is crawling all over the place! Her new trick is to push a chair around the classroom as she is "walking."
As for me, I am doing well. DH and I have have talked about skipping my birth control shot this month and letting nature take its course. I will keep everyone updated!
I do have a quick question that maybe someone out there could help me with. I don't get off work until 6:30 p.m., which puts us home at 7:00-ish. My son is starving by then! I currently give him some fruit or bread to nibble on until we have dinner ready, but he then quickly gets filled up. I would love to be able to have him eat what we are eating for dinner. Any suggestions?
Much love,
Alyssa
