Poisonous plants: Know which of your landscaping plants are dangerous (Azaleas, Rhododendrons, etc.) Teach your children to eat only food or berries that you give them. - Chemicals: Some chemicals that you put on lawns, trees, or shrubs can be hazardous to young children. Read the directions carefully, or check what chemicals are used by your lawn care service (you can request Material Safety Data Sheets or MSDSs on all chemicals used on your property.) Make sure that children play only after the chemicals have dried or dissipated.
