- Crib safety: Don't leave pillows and stuffed animals in cribs because kids could suffocate. Lower your mattress in crib to prevent falls. If you are using an older crib, make sure slats are no more than 2-3/8 inches apart and there are no projecting toys that children's clothes could get caught on.
- Diaper pail: To prevent child from playing in diaper pail and spreading germs, use a locking diaper pail.
- Toy chest: Make sure that toy chests can be opened from inside and well ventilated.
- Window safety: Keep bed, chairs, and chests away from window, so children can't climb up and fall out. Remember screens won't stop a child from falling.
