When dry, staple the pipe cleaners to the inside of the rolls. Make sure to do this to only one end the other end needs tobe flat so it can stand up. You can show your child how to curl them into different shapes (a pencil works great for this!).

Make a lot of these and use them to decorate your table!

Celebration Pots

You'll need:
14-inch terra cotta pot
Red, white and blue paint
Glitter
Paintbrushes
Dirt
Red, white and blue flowers

Here's what you do:
Help your child paint red, white and blue stripes on the pot. They can be painted on either horizontally or vertically. Allow to dry. Then, paint some stars randomly over the stripes. Before the paint dries, help your child sprinkle glitter all over them so they stand out. Allow the pot to dry completely.

While the pot dries, visit a local plant store with your little one. Allow him to pick out a plant forhis pot preferably a red, white or blue one!

Firecracker Corn

You'll need:
Ears of corn (with shucks on)
Red, white and blue paint
Paintbrushes

Here's what you do:
Pull the shucks back from the ears of corn. Do not pull them off. Let your child paint the ears of corn red, white and blue. Help him paint designs, stripes or whatever he would like. Leave the shucks green.

When the paint dries, let your child place them around the house for decorations. A few in a basket make a colorful centerpiece. Or decorate the mantle or doorway!
