From Ghosts to Goblins
Hauntingly Cute Halloween Crafts
By Kymberly Pratt
You'll need:
Clean gallon paint can
Acrylic paint
Bushes and sponges
Pencils with erasers
Polyurethane spray
Felt squares of any color
Hot glue or white glue
Here's what you help your child do:
1. With the acrylic paint, let your child paint a Halloween design on the outside of the clean paint can. They could draw a large jack-o-lantern, ghosts or lines and polka dots with the eraser of the pencil. Be creative!
2. After the paint dries, spray the outside of the can with the polyurethane spray to protect the design.
3. Next, help your child hot glue (or you could use white glue) the felt squares to the inside of the can. Let the can dry completely.
These cans are perfect for trick-or-treating! Or use them to decorate for the holiday or to hold food or candy for a holiday party. They also make cute party favors!
