Day Tripping
Explore the World With Your Toddler By Teri Brown
One wonderful way to take day trips with your toddler is with other families. Not only can you tour places you may not normally get to as individuals (such as a bakery or a fast food restaurant), you can also get discounts with a group for museums and other places. You can look for other interested parents at your play groups, preschool or church. Going on a group day trip every other week keeps the group alive and vital and helps teach your toddler how to behave on such outings.
Farms are a wonderful day trip to do alone or with others. Many have hay to climb on, simple mazes for the younger children and yummy apples and other treats to try. One caution though: If the farm yo visit offers a petting zoo
