Dinosaur Feet
Got a little monster in your family? He will just love these dinosaur feet made from empty tissue boxes for dress up.

You'll Need:

  • two empty tissue boxes that are the same size
  • construction paper
  • glue
  • scissors
  • cardboard
  • green paint
  • foam brush

Here's What You Do
Cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside the openings to make them smaller. This will keep their feet inside the box. Glue cardboard pieces in place. Paint the boxes green. Let dry. Cut triangles out of white construction paper. Glue in place for toenails. Decorate with colorful paper circles.

Can't steal an hour without the kids?

There's plenty you can do with them. Pick projects that involve multiple senses. Powdered drink mixes such as Kool-Aid can be a fun crafting medium. Let your child squeeze white glue onto heavy paper and help her sprinkle different flavors of powder onto the glue. When dry, she can scratch and sniff. Make up small batches of concentrated drinks and drip different flavors onto coffee filters. The colors will spread and blend, and your young ones will love the way it smells!
