Ready for Preschool Crafts
Ease Tension and Have Some Fun Before Your Toddler's Big First Day

Next, glue the handprints in a sunflower shape on the wooden ruler. The ruler will act as the stem for the flower.
Now for the fun part! Put a good coat of lipstick on your lips and the lips of your child. Each of you can kiss the middle of the sunflower. This kiss will help you remember your little one while they are away at preschool on the first day!
A great project that is similar to something your child will be doing in preschool. So it's great practice!
You'll need:
Construction paper
Old magazines
Scissors
Glue
Here's what you do:
Label each piece of construction paper with words like "first day of school," "the night before," "when I get home," etc. Explain what it means to your child as your write the words.
Sit with your child and flip through old magazines. Find pictures that describe the words on the pieces of paper. Help your child cut the pictures out. When done, let him glue the pictures on the right pieces of paper.
A fun activity for the whole family!
You'll need:
Paper sack
Lots of different leaves, sticks, small pebbles, etc.
White tacky glue
Construction paper
Markers
Here's what you do:
Take a nature walk together and gather items that will help your child build his family that he will miss the first day of school. Take your treasures home and lay them out of the table.
On a piece of construction paper, write the name of each family member at the very top. Then, help your toddler use his nature items to build the person. He might use sticks for the legs, a leaf for the body and a smaller leaf or pebble for the head. Glue the items down and allow to dry.
