"I don't think newborns should be in church because of the germs or potential to be disruptive," says Elizabeth Mlotkiewicz of Wichita, Kan. "It seems that people feel they should go to church even though they or their children are sick without realizing they are exposing everyone else to their illness." Parents trying to find a happy medium between staying away from religious services and not wanting to distract the congregation choose to attend part of a service or sit as far away as plitely possible from fellow worshipers.
